Best candidates also successful in business

I strongly disagree with The Herald’s recent endorsements for Snohomish City Council.

In my opinion, the strongest and most capable candidates who can provide the “creative middle ground” of which The Herald speaks are Karen Guzak and Rebecca Loveless. Both are successful business women with strong creative/artistic backgrounds who have served Snohomish well for many years. Their efforts have made the city more attractive and more viable for businesses and citizens.

In addition, our mayor, Liz Loomis, has provided strong leadership in Snohomish’s evolution from the “good-ol’ business-as-usual” days to a city with a vision and commitment to thoughtful, managed growth. She and Rebecca should be re-elected and Karen Guzak, who truly drives the creative middle road, deserves our full support.

Snohomish is blessed to have these three bright, creative and hardworking candidates offering to be of service now and to protect our city’s future.
