Better service makes up for increased tax

I want all my friends to know I strongly support Everett Proposition 1 to save and expand service on Everett Transit.

Since I’m living on my Social Security, it might seem I’d be one of those hurt most by a sales tax increase. However, I’ve already been hurt badly by the reductions in transit service, and would be hurt even worse by further cuts.

If the city delivers on its projections of transit service increases I, and most low-income residents, will get more than our money’s worth in whatever we pay in increased sales taxes.

Please, vote yes on Everett Prop. 1.
