Now that school is beginning, drivers must once again be aware of Lynnwood. Near 188th Street SW and 44th Avenue W. is a sign reading “Speed Limit 20, when crosswalk lights flash.” Mind you, not the next crosswalk, but two crosswalks away. Almost 500 feet and two intersections away. They are the lights hidden by the tree branches. So drivers, even though it may not be school hours, and there may be no children present — when those far-away lights flash, you will get a “Lynnwood speeding ticket.”
Mayor Don Gough should be embarrassed that situations like this continue in Lynnwood.
