I had wanted to respond to Bret Stephens’s New York Times opinion piece directly, but unlike most other columnists, he did not provide contact info to make that possible (“Only way that Biden can win is not to run,” The Herald, June 13).
What a misguided piece of garbage his column was. Can someone who is supposed politically informed actually believe that our candidate, an incumbent president who has been inarguably successful in leading this country, should abandon the race less than six months before the election?
I have a feeling that Stephens might change his tune after the debates, which will demonstrate to the whole world the obvious choice that this election provides: a dignified, accomplished head of state who loves America and supports its ideals, versus a bombastic loon who hopes to turn this country into his cash-cow cult for the duration of his miserable life.
Save the malarkey, Bret, and get on board.
