Is there no news about Wal-Mart’s Chinese factories being safety tested? Have they tested any past imports? Should they? How many illnesses could be traced to sloppy or non-existent oversight?
After all, they are prime culprits in the move to have all things possible manufactured in China at their 12 to 50 cents an hour pay rates. Plenty of stories on TV have shown how Wal-Mart demands from them even lower and lower manufacturing costs, forcing them to cut corners that don’t really exist.
Do we give a damn anymore? If you can make a buck, that’s all that really matters.
