Regarding the Tuesday article, “Everett seeks a better way for Evergreen Way”:
May I make a suggestion? Put in bike lanes all the way down, from Everett to Lynnwood. Then start ticketing (think of the money you would make) anyone over the age of 10 who is caught riding their bike on the sidewalk. Put the bikes back in the street where they belong. Everett is very pedestrian unfriendly!
Where else do they not only allow, but encourage, bicycles to ride on the sidewalk? Forget the people walking, just mow them down if they are in your way. No wonder there are so many fat people around. They are afraid to go out walking where they might get hit by a bicycle up on the sidewalk.
Everett, you have a chance to “do the right thing” here. So, please give the sidewalk back to the people and put the bicycles out on the street where they belong!
