On May 7 I took my mom to I-Hop on Broadway for her 80th birthday breakfast. At the next table sat a man with his young son, who, we found out, was celebrating his 9th birthday.
They finished their meal ahead of us and as they left we wished the young boy happy birthday, as they did to my mom. Not more than 10 minutes later, the young boy returned with a beautiful potted plant for my mother. He smiled as he wished my mom to have a special day. The boy’s father not only taught his son kindness, but how to treat elderly people. My mom and I are so thankful for the beautiful gesture. (We did read the name Lockhart on the card).
Thank you, Mr. Lockhart and son, you truly made my mom’s day!
