I was sorry to read about the fatal crash in which Michael Waterman was killed by the reckless and irresponsible actions of another driver allegedly fleeing police. My thoughts and prayers go to the family of Mr. Waterman. I was also sorry to read the comments by Mr. Waterman’s sister. She never mentioned that if the other driver hadn’t been fleeing from the Washington State Patrol trooper this accident would not have happened. The trooper is not the one who caused this tragedy. He was doing his job. The other driver is 100 percent at fault. He allegedly stole the car and didn’t pull over when he should have. He drove that vehicle for several miles disregarding the value of human life. It appears he has made a pile of bad choices lately. He needs to be off the street. Anger and comments should be directed at him, not the Washington State Patrol. Our law enforcement officers deserve our support.
