Your recent editorial on Melody Clemans, candidate for Position 3 of the Snohomish City Council, shows just how out of touch you are with any city outside of Everett. Shame on you! Melody Clemans knows Snohomish better than any other candidate on the ballot, having been born and raised here. She has a well-articulated position on design standards and preserving our small town feel. I also appreciate her stand on bringing new businesses to our community to help reduce some of the tax burden placed on local residents. And, yes, I think it’s great that she wants to restore the Carnegie Library building. How we treat this historic building is an excellent example of how Snohomish should meld its historic past with the future of the town. Please join me in voting for Melody Clemans for Snohomish City Council.
