I received Mr. Koster’s fancy flier today. I also confess I chased away his canvassers on 4th of July weekend. I just wanted to save him some resources and respond: His web site is actually titled “Koster Country?”
Stop wasting time and money contacting my family. The Republican Party is a disgrace. It must be held responsible for this president, this congress and the unchecked development in “Koster Country,” where he gets his funding and support.
The Democratic Party is disorganized and just as at fault. The “required” two-party system and the sham of primary rules as applied to Snohomish County is a reflection of how politics has little to do with people and everything to do with special interests, big money and making the “right connections through influence peddling.”
You want my vote? Then run for the people! We need universal medical care, we need world-class education, which doesn’t mean the ineffective, resource wasting WASL extravaganza; it means universal education, teachers treated as professionals and safe environments for our children to learn.
Our government officials do not represent us anymore than radio commentators … the commonality between the two is that both are building careers, making a great deal of money through the peddling of power and control.
You want my vote? Return to the people and forget partisanship. Every American has a true right and expectation of medical care, education, safety and a life above poverty, no matter what religion, creed or race. We as Americans are not “rugged individualists;” we must stand together, look out for each other and co-exist with dignity and strength. At this time we are a nation becoming rapidly divided between the “haves” and the “have-nots.” In the long run, this philosophy will destroy us all.
