It was so heartwarming to see last Friday how state and federal agencies came together, worked for the safety of others, while putting their lives on the line, in Massachusetts, to apprehend a bomber suspect. To say the people of Massachusetts and the nation were grateful was shown by the smiles, cheers and waves given to the responders of the situation.
Now wouldn’t it have been courageous if Congress had put aside their petty battles, worked together and passed the background checks for firearms last week too. No doubt in my mind that at least 90 percent of the USA would have cheered, smiled and waved to them, if they had just contributed a positive note in a horrific week.
