As a senior citizen of 87, I believe if there was ever time for common sense by our president, it’s now. Instead of worrying about being re-elected, he needs to tell the American electorate that he intends to spend the next 16 months doing what he can to correct what he inherited from the office he got himself into.
Take the billions upon billions of dollars we are spending, plus the sacrificing of our young people, trying to tell other people how to run their country, which they will never change.
Bring them home and spend that money giving these men and women jobs to rebuild infrastructure, roads, bridges, etc., that we so badly need, thus bringing our economy out of the dumps.
From what I read, the GOP is so confused about who will, and who wants to be a candidate in 2012, they will not be a force in 16 months.
If the president can accomplish this, he will have a landslide back into office, provided he still wants that hot seat again.
