Voters have an opportunity to vote for a truly outstanding judge for Everett District Court.
The District Court bench will be enriched by Tam Bui’s broad legal experience. She has represented clients both at the trial and appellate level. She has handled criminal law cases, and during two years in private practice represented clients in small business and immigration matters.
She also has a breadth of judicial experience. For the last five years, she has served as a substitute judge (judge pro tem) in Everett District Court. Since 2004, she has presided over mental health cases as a judge pro tem in Snohomish County Superior Court. Since 2003, Tam has worked full-time as an administrative law judge for the state of Washington, issuing decisions affecting financial institutions, contractors, business licenses, unemployment benefits, child support and adult family homes.
She and her family fled Vietnam in 1975, coming to the U.S. seeking freedom and opportunity. She knows about adversity and about succeeding in spite of it. Her long list of community activities reflects her commitment to public service.
As a deputy prosecutor, I have argued cases against Tam. I endorse her wholeheartedly. Tam has proven herself to be hardworking, thorough, and a fair lawyer and judge. She listens with an open mind before deciding a case. Join me, many of my colleagues, and community leaders such as Sheriff Rick Bart, county Prosecutor Janice Ellis, Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson, Superior Court Judges Ronald Castleberry and Anita Farris, and District Court Judge Jay Wisman, and vote for a truly outstanding judge.
