Bus service goes extra mile for riders

We have been riding the Island Transit buses for the last two years from Camano Island to Everett. It has always been a wonderful service and the drivers help make it a very good experience.

Recently there was an accident that delayed us in Everett for over an hour returning to Camano Island. We knew we would miss our transfer and expected to wait for the next bus. Right after we pulled in, we were treated to a pleasant surprise: they had a bus ready to express us to our final destination.

We want to thank Island Transit and look forward to continue riding this fare free method of transportation from Camano Island to Everett. It’s really nice to leave the driving to them.

EMBARGO set by source.** House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, (D-NY) speaks at a news conference about Republicans’ potential budget cuts to Medicaid, at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Feb. 27, 2025. As Republicans push a budget resolution through Congress that will almost certainly require Medicaid cuts to finance a huge tax reduction, Democrats see an opening to use the same strategy in 2026 that won them back the House in 2018.
