I would like to thank President Bush for the unusual improvement in my prescription care. With his new policy the cost of my Pravachol just went from $94.81 to $137.04. I know this isn’t much for him and the rest of my elected officials and their lobbyists, much less the pharmaceutical bigwigs and after all, the increase in my Social Security is almost enough to cover the higher prescription cost.
I really have only one request of Bush, not that he pays any attention to someone who can’t buy their politician’s ear, and that is to have him please stop trying to help me. Without the help of my government there is a better chance that I may be able to support my family in a reasonable manner. Obviously Bush will still be able to tap all of my resources to fund his programs, wars and pork barrels, but please, let me spend these last few years without more of his “improvements” in the social structure of our wonderful country.
