Regarding the Oct. 8 letter, “Let Democrats have their turn”:
Doesn’t the left ever give up on blaming Bush for all the ills this country is facing?
The letter writer has it wrong in blaming the Bushites for our economic woes.
The liberal left, Barney Frank, Charley Rangel and the Congressional Black Caucus pressured the Clinton Justice Department into forcing the banking industry into accepting sub-standard loans and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae had to purchase those loans. The Bush administration saw “trouble” coming but was voted down in its attempt to curtail some of the excessive loans. Sen. Obama of Illinois was of those who voted against this measure.
History will show that Bush was right and that everyone who voted for change will see change in the form of czars in charge of every facet of government policy, like Van Jones, an avowed communist, or the “car czar,” who has never run a business of any kind. Welcome to the world of socialist government, and socialized medicine. May God bless America before it’s too late.
