President Bush’s plan for our economy is working better than anybody ever expected. Let me illustrate:
For those who think record deficits are bad, look how it helps the United States economy. Foreigners can now purchase bargains from every economic sector of the United States. Even tourism will benefit. Everything that is made in America will be able to be purchased by other countries at a substantial discount.
Let’s look at what is made in America that foreign nations can now buy. They can buy cars from our Detroit automakers. Well, maybe not. A BMW is built much better than a Ford, so forget cars. A GE toaster made in China. How about jet aircraft? Well, most parts for Boeing aircraft are made overseas so the costs will increase for America’s aircraft industry, wiping out the savings for foreigners with increased prices to consumers. How about computers? Same as aircraft. They’re all manufactured overseas so it costs computer manufacturers more to buy, again passing increases to customers. As record numbers of foreigners now dislike what is going on in America, why would they even want to come here? There goes the tourism angle of Bush’s economic plan.
Americans are now forced to buy inferior American products due to the high cost of U.S. dollars buying foreign-made goods. We cannot afford to travel overseas due to a weak dollar. We cannot buy Canadian timber or beef because of the trade barriers built by Bush. We suffer record deficits, record low dollar values around the world and a negative world opinion of America. But, we have reason to rejoice. Our moral character is high by our own standards. This makes me feel better, except “feeling” can be construed to be immoral. We are just trapped inside a country by a control freak, if you will. Sounds like communism to me.
