“Hog heaven”? I don’t think so (“Hog heaven in Snohomish,” news article, May 20)!
Business may have been great for merchants on First Street in Snohomish, but had the reporter taken a stroll down Avenue A, a street that was closed for the display of motorcycles, he would have found two storage trailers, Snohomish police patrol cars and about 20 motorcycles just parked unattended. He would have also noticed there were no people walking up and down Avenue A looking at these unattended motorcycles. If the city of Snohomish and the promoters of such functions continue to close streets without doing a little research about which streets to close and which to leave open, these “rallies” will boost some of us out of business.
