Here I sit, reading the news of our economy becoming so bad that many people are unable to pay for even the bare essentials. We have people living in tents because they can’t afford to pay rent. Many of these people have children, physical disabilities, mental disabilities and even worse, these people are not eligible for any sort of assistance.
I see and hear about people losing their housing and seeking frantically to find some place to live. These people end up either in substandard housing or in one of the tent cities. Why is this happening here in our great country, you may ask. The best answer for this is that we have outsourced so many of our jobs to other countries. Employers see the cheap labor rates in other countries and by sending our business to other countries the CEOs and other corporate leaders are padding their pockets. It is time that they take a good, long, hard look at what is more important. Having outsourced so much work to other countries, we have become one of the weakest economic countries in the world.
I would like to challenge our big business leaders to bring the outsourced jobs back to America and watch our economy strengthen again.
