It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month again. Do you know that the Post Office sells Breast Cancer “fund the fight to find a cure” stamps? They cost 40 cents each and are available year round. The Post Office gives the extra 7 cents per stamp to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
My family uses about twenty stamps a month, so we contribute $16.80 per year, painlessly, to the research. If a thousand Everett-area families would do this, it would fund five-eighths of a research assistant – perhaps another Pasteur or Salk – to aid in the battle. We use these colorful stamps at Christmas, too, to show our dedication to a cure for breast cancer.
Thanks to the U.S. Post Office for doing this good thing. Thanks to all who choose to help the cause in this easy manner.
