No formal George W. Bush presidential endorsement? Again?
Whenever anyone tells me that George W. Bush was such a great president, I always reply with this question: Then why isn’t anyone clamoring for his endorsement? It happened in 2008, and it is happening again this year. John McCain did whatever he could to distance himself from Bush, and now Mitt Romney is doing the same thing. That to me speaks volumes about his abysmal presidency. Recently I saw an article where an ABC news reporter caught up with Mr. Bush after a speech he gave and asked him who he was voting for, and his reply was: “I’m voting for Mitt Romney. Whatever.” That to me is hardly an enthusiastic endorsement. I guess most political experts are correct when they say that associating yourself with George W. Bush is basically like committing political suicide.
