So, Snohomish County wants to spend $2 million on revising the parking at Lord Hill Park. Bikers and the horseback riders can’t seem to be able to share this public recreation area. I get it. The safety issue of horses and bikes together is understandable.
The solution is simple: odd calendar dates are for horses, even for bikers. The last day of the few months with 31 days can be for walkers and maintenance volunteers only. Maybe no-one gets everything they want, but everyone gets something they want. Too bad Congress can’t follow this example like they used to.
Getting through Snohomish in the mornings and afternoons is a nightmare. Spend that $2 million on fixing our roads. Better yet, expanding or adding two lanes on Highway 9 over the river. I know that won’t cover it all, but it’s a start.
Now you kids play nice or mommy and daddy will take away all the toys and nobody gets to play. Sheesh!
