Regarding the Aug. 11 article, “Island Crossing debated”: Dwayne Lane seems to think he can have what he wants because he has the money to do it … regardless of who it is really good for. We drive that portion of I-5 often and would hate to see a car lot full of flags and balloons sitting at Island Crossing. The farmland and green pastures are much more desirable to look at and we think the majority of people would think so if they had a say in this rezoning decision. Dwayne Lane says this will happen because it’s the right thing but we think he may be among the very few who think that way. This location seems to be good for Dwayne Lane but is it the best thing for everyone else?
