I am writing to you regarding a dog fight that happened on Memorial Day afternoon at the Cruzin to Colby Show ‘n’ Shine event in Everett.
I was a spectator, as I have been for many years and am sad to say that I most likely will not be again. There is very little security at this function. I saw numerous dogs and children and the dog fight that I saw in front of me was disturbing! It involved a very big pit bull and a small poodle. Both the owners were walking side-by-side in opposite directions as the pit bull grabbed the poodle for no reason.
What if this had been a child? This organization needs to take more precautions and address this issue.
Thank goodness this poodle was not seriously hurt (that I know of). I know that this event is a “family friendly” event but banning all animals is not an unreasonable request to protect the safety of others.
