I read your recent editorial (“Bush rewrite of science doesn’t change facts,” July 8) and at first thought you were joking. Not so, apparently. You were taught in the third grade that carbon dioxide will kill you? I will explain briefly: We breathe in oxygen, and the air we breathe out becomes carbon dioxide which in turn, vegetation (trees) take in and exude oxygen, which we breathe, etc. True, eventually it will kill us all before we reach say, 120 years of age.
