Did you happen to notice a group of people walking along W. Casino Road and Airport Road on Sunday?
They were off duty postal workers who came together to raise money for a city carrier who has breast cancer. It’s a group of people I am proud to be part of, as their hard work, dedication and compassion for others is consistent and unending, regardless of the obstacles and challenges they face.
Special thanks to Sharon Thornley and the Everett Parks Department for expediting our special-use application so that we could relax and enjoy a potluck picnic at the end of our 4.5-mile walk.
I hope all involved feel the pride they so richly deserve! You guys are awesome!
