I am appalled and saddened by the front page story in Wednesday’s Herald of the sale of the phony $3 bills at the Republican booth at the county fair in Monroe. No one in that organization wants to take responsibility for putting an end to this type of blatant racism.
“Stick to the facts” is what I say to the Republicans. Don’t make light of one’s ethnicity or political leanings. Shame on Luke Esser, the state party chair, for not condemning these abominable tactics. Instead, all he could say was “I don’t want to micromanage” the local parties. The honorable thing to have done would be to outright condemn the act itself!
