Despite pressure from a growing number of bipartisan congresspersons, President Bush says there will be no timetable for leaving Iraq. Well of course not, sillies!
Did anyone really think this administration would pull out our troops before accomplishing the primary goal of securing the country for … oil companies? (You thought I was going to say Democracy, didn’t you?)
One thing you can count on Bush to do is to not admit defeat in any way, shape or form. “Nope, don’t wanna hear it. Nyah, nyah, nyah, I’m not listening to you. Dick, tell me a happy story.”
Mature individuals know when they’re licked. And intelligent individuals seek alternatives. Unfortunately, our president is neither. And to that list of adjectives you can add arrogant, compassionless, deceitful, and shortsighted.
But I’m sure that a number of you would vote for him again, given the option. Who knows, by the time this term is up, maybe you’ll have it.
