Children are dying due to sanctions

Recently it was leaked out that the Bush administration is planning an unforgivable move! I am scared and embarrassed to call myself a U.S citizen if this is how we are represented.

For 12 years, 165 children a day have been dying of diarrhea from the illegal U.S. bombing of water lines of Iraq. These actions were illegal according to the Rules of the Geneva Convention. Get your history books out. Iraq is unable to get materials to repair or rebuild water and sewage treatment plants destroyed during Iraq’s 1980s war with Iran and during the Persian Gulf War.

A 1999 United Nations Children’s Fund report blames the sanctions for killing half a million children younger than 5 years old over a period of seven years.

Please contact your elected leaders regarding giving the people of Iraq some dignity. Only by restoring sanctions to the humans in Iraq will we bring the Middle East boiling point to calm.

Tell President Bush that we the people are against any military actions on these other inhabitants of this planet. Ask him to open up dialogue about compassion in this New World order!

Sometimes, I think if women and mothers were the leaders of this planet, discussion and nurturing would be the agenda! How is this for opening up local discussion? Please people, turn off your TVs and look for other sources of world news! We owe it to our children to teach compassion!
