The “Citizens United” decision is destroying our democracy, and we’ve got to do something about it. There have always been laws to govern the people and other laws to govern corporations.
Citizens United has opened the door for a flood of influential money that the public can not compete with and there are very few in congress who are in effect looking out for the best interests of the people and the reason for that is that Citizens United has drowned out the voices of the people.
Awareness of Citizens United as with many other issues, is an obligation of the press. To keep the citizenry updated on the important issues that affect all of us.
Eighty percent of Americans support a constitutional amendment to overturn the Citizens United decision, including 68 percent of Republicans, 82 percent of independents, and 87 percent of Democrats.
Please, if you will, help to promote awareness about Citizens United and the effects that is having on our nation, states and communities.
