As anyone who drives through Lynnwood on any given day knows, Lynnwood needs more, not fewer, red-light cameras. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t see drivers stomping on the gas to get through a yellow or red light or pulling a so-called California stop of just slowing down and turning without stopping at a stop sign.
If you drive legally, as we all should be doing, then you have nothing to fear about red light cameras. It is only the law- breakers who oppose these cameras. This is not a case of big brother wanting money for the city budget, it is about saving lives and preventing accidents by making drivers who disregard the rules of the road more accountable for their actions.
