In July 1991 my wife and I settled in Edmonds. We chose Edmonds because of its unique location, its “charm” and so many friendly people. For the past 14 years we have devoted our time and efforts entirely to volunteer work; attempting to do our part to help in the effort to maintain Edmonds as this wonderful place in which to live, work and play.
We write very few letters, sign fewer petitions and do not believe in mud slinging at candidates for public office. Candidates should only speak on their record – their present and future positions on issues and their vision for the future of Edmonds. Unfortunately, this does not always happen in this manner.
We have carefully evaluated the records of the candidates for the office of Edmonds City Council Position 1 and chosen the person we feel best qualified for Edmonds. We do fully support Michael Plunkett for re-election.
Michael has proven himself to be honest, trustworthy and, most important, he listens to people he serves. He always supports issues that benefit the majority of our citizens. There is an old saying, “Don’t switch horses in the middle of the stream.” Michael has a proven record. Many serious issues face Edmonds at present, as well as in the near future. Let’s not switch horses. We sincerely ask all our many friends and other citizens of our Edmonds to join us in re-electing Michael Plunkett to the council’s Position 1.
