City needs vision AuBuchon brings

In creating the Visioning Group with other local businessmen and city leadership, Van AuBuchon’s vision is to keep valuable partnerships alive. His idea is to create many small businesses similar to his in the area. Over 400 members to pick a group of mentors from, leaders and policy makers.

Van’s proactive mind and desire to give back to the city he has lived in for many years is momentarily hampered by the current local political climate. He wants change. He is challenging the incumbent for Position 7 on the Lynnwood City Council, a council member who has been there for 24 years and five times lost running for mayor.

Van is now ready to roll up his sleeves and develop a community based business for profit, run and mentored by the nonprofit Visioning Group. Van foresees that veterans, men and women, unemployed and currently working toward refocusing mission oriented skills to civilian technology, construction, automotive and building maintenance and bidding procedures, can significantly benefit given this opportunity.

He also thought of partnership with the local community college and vocational and technical school. He is optimistic that early funding could come from Veteran Affairs and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

I am supporting Van AuBuchon for Lynnwood City Council Position 7, a successful, compassionate businessman and a team player. He is currently a member of Lynnwood Planning Commission.
