Jeff Wilson brings a very useful background in the public sector and in business to the Edmonds City Council. As a former planner for the City of Edmonds and a long-time resident, he has a working knowledge of key issues facing our city. He has carried that knowledge into the private sector and, more importantly, onto the council.
He is diligent, hard-working and balanced. He studies the issues, listens to his constituents and considers the views of his fellow council members. Jeff’s is the kind of informed, sincere leadership needed for Edmonds. He provides focus and direction on zoning, land use, transportation, building and related matters, understands financial and legal considerations and seeks consensus. He is able to work collaboratively with the mayor’s office and with other jurisdictions to accomplish common goals for the benefit of our citizens, the city, and the region. He has shown his resolve on thorny issues and has demonstrated thoughtful analysis, rather than single-issue narrowness.
Anyone can pick one note and sing it constantly, but intelligent, honorable, versatile public servants like Jeff are not easy to find. We are fortunate he is eager to serve our city for a second term. He has my unqualified support.
