City should act now, create park

Regarding the March 31 letter, “Preserve green space for best use”:

Sensible discussions are starting about a possible new park for south Everett at the Jazwieck (Trainland) property at 7800 Broadway Avenue.

This location is ideally suited to benefit the community. When this economy breaks loose, the land speculators and developers are going to have a field day with this land. Now is the time for Everett’s civic leaders to step forward to save this property from becoming more unneeded condos and traffic.
