Kudos to the mayor of Mukilteo for taking $250,000 of taxpayer money to “Battle the Airlines.” Commercial flights out of Paine Field are an eventuality. There is a huge disparity in per capita income from Mukilteo to Newport Beach, Calif. His honor has reinforced the old adage, “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer” by enriching the coffers of a Costa Mesa, Calif., law firm.
