Thank you for Julie Muhlstein’s column about the Snohomish Class of 1942. (“Snohomish Class of 1942 celebrates 72-year reunion.”) My beautiful sister, Dolores Ahern Sunley, was part of that class. She lives near Sacramento and couldn’t attend.
Dolores was married to a career Navy man, raised four children, and later had a career that included working as a secretary for a California governor. Over the years she enjoyed music, dancing and watercolor painting. Last year she and her son moved to her daughter’s farm where she is having fun growing vegetables, composting, etc.
Dolores continues to be an inspiration to me and our other siblings.
