Clay can go, but leave the Sonics here

Clay Bennett really knows how to savor the moment. A day after Kevin Durant’s spectacular home debut, the Sonics owner told the NBA he plans to move the team to Oklahoma City.

We all knew this was coming. When Bennett bought the team from coffee baron Howard Schultz, he said he’d try to keep it here, but when a man’s heart belongs to a small, dusty, tornado-riddled town, who’s to stop him from financial suicide?

At least we’ll always have Starbucks. Thanks a lot, Howard.

Football is a crazy game. One moment, WSU is getting crushed week after week, making you rich. The next moment, the Cougars are beating UCLA and you’re living out of your Honda.

This week, the Cougars are 15-point underdogs at California. Cal could have been the No. 1 team in the nation earlier this season, if not for an epic brain cramp. (Let’s just say the quarterback isn’t there on a Mensa scholarship.) We’ll take the Cougs and the points.

Speaking of epic, the Huskies will try to recover from last week’s collapse against Arizona. We’ll take the UW to cover the 3-point spread at Stanford, whose mascot is the Tree. You never know what will happen when Dawgs and Trees get together, but you know it will be ugly.
