Over the past years in Everett, there has been mass destruction of the very last of our forests. Watching outside my window, I see a whole habitat being destroyed for no good reason. Forest destruction around Forest Park has been mass – clear cutting to put up more homes for the rich. These trees are homes for many. We used to have deer but when the new housing community came in they all cleared out. I wonder where they went?
As a volunteer at PAWS Wildlife Center, I see many orphaned animals due to destruction of their homes. I really see no reason why this has to happen. I treat so many orphaned animals that lost their mothers due to destruction of local forests, only for a whole new housing community for us selfish humans. I think we all need to take a stand. What is more important to us? The earth we live on or more homes for the rich?
