In today’s society, one of the most prevailing and popular topics of conversation is: How do we all come together in these tough and divisive times. How do we get along and progress forward during such difficult days?
Music has always been one of those amazing means of bringing us all together, no matter our differences and/or opinions. Sports are another of one of those few ways which brings us all together, no matter our color, our background and/or our prejudice level.
But it’s this writer’s opinion that we need to look for a real answer, one that gives opinions without anger; one that communicates without raising voices or getting upset. Remember if we have to defend our opinion, or our blood pressure is constantly elevated when we’re voicing our beliefs; we might want to honestly reflect on the reasons why that happens?
I believe the truth stands on its own, without judgment or having to be defended.
However, if we can’t come together with enjoying three-day weekends, or finding a way to get rid of junk mail completely, then I believe our most realistic answer to today’s problems is simple: Install a roundabout.
All of our problems would be solved if we just look at this practical and well-tested solution, which forces us all to get along, puts others needs before our own, and makes us work together for the betterment of the community.
Yes, the universal answer for society’s current problem is clear to me: Install a roundabout.
