Columnist Sid Schwab backs up his opinions with facts

I read a recent letter to the editor criticizing Herald columnist Sid Schwab.

Does the author not see the hypocrisy in his own words? “Liberals” as he labeled those that think different than he? Do he listen to Trump, MTG, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity? They hate any Democrat and voice their opinions daily. Has he written a letter to Fox to show his disapproval? What Schwab writes is based on facts. He provides links to evidence. And if it seems one-sided, it’s because of all the bad things the Trump GOP are doing to this country!

And who is he talking about being called terrorists for voicing their opinions. Would it be the mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021? That was pure lawlessness; the evidence is overwhelming. If you still think Trump won, you have been brainwashed, or you are just plain ignorant. Does he think Democrats are organized enough to pull off the level of fraud needed to swing the election? I don’t. Or does he think Republicans are so inept they can’t find a single bit of evidence? Hmmm.

I respect Sid Schwab. He is certainly not a liberal, and certainly not a Trump Republican. He’s in the middle like a lot of us. He loves his country, the proof is in his words.

My point is, don’t condemn the other guy for doing exactly what you are doing. And at the end of the day, respect what the majority want, which may not be what you want. Too bad.
