Comedy fodder
It looks like Rep. Michelle Bachmann, Republican of Minnesota, plans to run for president.
Although Bachmann’s a favorite of the Tea Party, the most avid cheerleaders for her candidacy are writers at “The Daily Show,” who look forward to a steady stream of material well into 2012.
Nil-nil tie: If they don’t win tonight’s game with Houston, the 0-2 Seattle Sounders hope to at least score their first goal of the season.
And once they finally put the ball in the back of the net, the team can focus on its next goal for this year: out-score the Seattle Mariners.
What’s in a name: CenturyLink Inc.’s purchase of Qwest Communications means the stadium that two of Seattle’s professional sports teams call home will likely be renamed.
The new name has not been officially chosen, but The Buzz humbly suggests the Qwest Field be redubbed “Seahawks Stadium.”
All right, all right. Yeah, it’s a nutty idea. Totally half-baked. Makes no sense whatsoever. Never mind. Sheesh, what were we thinking?
