Call me crazy, but what is the big deal about adding commercial flights out of Paine Field? Anyone who lives in Snohomish County who has flown out of Sea-Tac knows it is a nightmare. It is time for Snohomish County to grow up and get real – commercial flights will come eventually. In fact, I think Snohomish County and Paine Field should try to get Southwest Airlines to scrap the deal with Boeing Field and move to Everett. When NASCAR was trying to build a race car track in my back yard I sure didn’t see or hear many complaints from the residents of Everett and Mukilteo about the noise, but rather they touted the economic advantages. So now that the tide has turned and the noise vs. economic development is in their back yard, they are the ones screaming.
