This is a collective thank you from the Everett Parks and Recreation Department to members of the Downtown Everett Rotary Club for their efforts on April 27. More than three dozen members showed up from 9 a.m. until noon at Rotary Park and the Lowell Riverfront Trail to put some muscle behind the shovels. And a special thanks to Steve Hatloe, project organizer. During the overcast morning, the Rotarians planted 30 Sitka Spruce tress, installed tree guards and the plants along the trail and installed a French drain.
It’s the community help and their volunteer efforts that continue to make Everett Parks a diamond in the city of Everett’s crown.
