Community very supportive of schools

I have lived and worked in the Lakewood School District for 25 years. During that time, I have been a teacher and librarian, and my husband and I are parents of Lakewood students who attended Lakewood from Kindergarten until graduation. We have been involved community members and continue to value and support Lakewood schools. Supporting the schools through our tax dollars is one of the important ways we help educate the adults of the future.

In my time as a teacher and librarian, the Lakewood School District has made continuous progress in all areas. It is a point of pride to me that I work for a progressive school district, where the state and national standards and guidelines are a strong emphasis. I am also very proud of my community and the support it gives to the district, not only in elections but also in volunteerism, fundraising and educational and personal support for our students.

I urge you to support the upcoming Lakewood School District maintenance and operations levy. This replacement levy is essential for Lakewood School District. Please vote yes on March 9.
