I was the guest of my neighbors on Aug. 26, for an afternoon of dancing and listening to the wonderful music of Crosby and Freeman’s Swing Kings at the Elks Club, in Everett.
There were 14 musicians on-stage playing Big Band songs that brought back memories of an era of great music by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and others.
Sadly, there were only 15 of us to enjoy this remarkable band of musicians.
I don’t know if it was a lack of advertising or an afternoon Mariner’s ball game that kept you from “turning back the clock.”
