Double congratulations to the Snohomish Panthers baseball team for its Class 4A state baseball title last Saturday at Safeco Field. These student athletes have shown the state their talent, selflessness and most of all perseverance in achieving back-to-back championship caliber seasons, capping it all off with gold this year.
Coach Kim Hammons told me before this year’s season started, “I think these kids are going to do it this year.” Sure enough they did. Again, double congratulations, and let’s see the city of Snohomish give this championship team and Coach Hammons a celebration parade down First Street!
