Congress can’t be trusted to protect it

We are again hearing the rhetoric about Mr. Bush seeking to privatize Social Security. He is, but let me tell you why. Our Democratic senators have voted to use our retirement monies to support aliens who have entered our country legally and illegally.

Those of us who were forced to contribute to this retirement fund are being given it back in small payments. These outsiders have contributed little to nothing, yet some of them receive as much or more than those who deposited money into the account all their adult lives.

My question: Shouldn’t we have a say about what is done with our savings? Shouldn’t we have the option of deciding what charity or charities we wish to support?

This is the reason there is a move to take Social Security out of the hands of this Congress. Those people who are railing against Mr. Bush are doing so because if Social Security would be privatized they would be exposed for their vote to take our retirement money and disperse it according to their wishes. They were supposed to protect it, not spend it.
