Medicare and Social Security are on a quicker pace to become insolvent than previously thought. Already at retirement age and working, I cannot fathom getting a haircut from either in the near future.
The McCleary lawsuit forced our state government to make good on education funding. Can Congress (aka regress) do the same to force the federal government to keep its promise?
To our congressional representatives: how about action; answers? Problematic is that those who are supposed to be our representatives do not rely on either safety net. They get their privileged benefits guaranteed-for life. When people are left with little/nothing they have little/nothing to lose. That’s usually the spark that fires upheaval, revolt and rebellion. History has a way of prediction.
