I am an 86-year-old male and am very concerned regarding our Social Security and Medicare. There are so many people here and abroad who depend on the two programs and that a lot of them would not be able to survive. I will say that I was disappointed with the results of the elections and am very much concerned about the future, maybe not so much for me, but the children and grandchildren.
I do not wish the president ill will, but hope that he works with the members of Congress for the betterment of our country. It disturbs me to have heard his attitude toward women, minorities and immigrants and can only hope that his attitude can be different when he takes office, also hoping that he can take advice from our Congress and do what is best for our country and the world.
I sent this letter to our Washington congressional delegation and encourage others to write: Susan DelBene, Rick Larsen, Jaime Herrera Beutler, Dan Newhouse, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Derek Kilmer, Jim McDermott, Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell, Dennis Heck, Dave Reichert and Adam Smith.
